Tomorrow is the kickoff to the #31mothers project.  Each day in the month of May will feature a different woman’s story, told in her own words.  I couldn’t be more honored to share the stories of these mamas with you.

Motherhood is an amazing opportunity – one that can illuminate our true purpose and highlight our best selves. For generations we have thought of motherhood as a sacrifice – and, sure, it feels that way at times. But when you meet these women, I think you’ll agree: motherhood isn’t about giving up, it’s about rising up. No matter where you are on your motherhood path, keep the faith. Keep putting one foot in front of the other. Keep letting your heart lead. When we all do just that, there’s no stopping us.

 

Saralyn Ward is an award-winning writer, wellness advocate, and mountain mama. She is the founder of The Mama Sagas, writes for several publications and hosts a regular parenting TV segment on Colorado's Everyday Show. When she's not huddled over edits, you're likely to find Saralyn climbing peaks or skiing down them, and reminding herself that the two little girls that call her mom are not the boss of her.
