Listening to Kristen’s story was bittersweet for me. Just wait for her answer when I ask her what she likes about her post-baby body…. yes, I have felt the same way. And no, it’s not ok. We receive so many messages about “bouncing back” after pregnancy, when our bodies will quite possibly never be the same again.

To me, it’s been helpful to think of the post-baby body as a clean slate. Starting from scratch. Beginning again, to make it what you want it to be. Try not to compare yourself to your pre-baby self; your body now tells a story much bigger and grander than anything you could have ever comprehended before. We must re-learn our bodies and commit to giving ourselves our best bodies now. How, you ask? Stay tuned for more ideas…
