Motherhood is a love that transforms.
Our Mission
The Mama Sagas is on a mission to change the narrative of motherhood from one of sacrifice to one of opportunity.
When you enter motherhood, you enter a band of heroes. Most of us don’t feel like Supermom – this gig tests the depth of our strength and resilience daily.
But if we meet the challenge, we realize motherhood is an opportunity: the chance to illuminate our true path, to realize our potential, to advocate for what we need, and to define our identity on our own terms.
Through first-person stories of triumph and transformation, and with tips for living a rich and fulfilling life with kids, The Mama Sagas celebrates what’s possible when we embrace every experience on our motherhood journey — good, bad, and everything in between.

There's nothing very unique about me as a mom, I don't have much of a story, but I'm obsessed with mommy-hood. Even on the days when Mitchell refuses to nap, throws most of his food (that I spent 20 minutes preparing) on the floor for our dog, and smacks me in the...

I never thought about being a mother before it happened and feel that in itself was a gift. I had no expectations, no preconceived ideas and no mapped out road ahead. From the moment my first child was born I was blown away by the connection I felt to her, my husband...

I do so much to try and keep my son's name alive and spoken, and his love felt. But it’s so hard to reach into my mind and remember him. He’s slipped away from me. Sometimes at night I sit up and wonder if I made him up. Was he a perfect dream followed by the worst...

“I had given up some youth for knowledge but my gain was much greater than my loss." This quote by Maya Angelou perfectly describes my motherhood journey. For me, being a mom has meant the deep loss of a life I never knew and the ongoing rediscovery of myself. If...
