Motherhood is a love that transforms.
Our Mission
The Mama Sagas is on a mission to change the narrative of motherhood from one of sacrifice to one of opportunity.
When you enter motherhood, you enter a band of heroes. Most of us don’t feel like Supermom – this gig tests the depth of our strength and resilience daily.
But if we meet the challenge, we realize motherhood is an opportunity: the chance to illuminate our true path, to realize our potential, to advocate for what we need, and to define our identity on our own terms.
Through first-person stories of triumph and transformation, and with tips for living a rich and fulfilling life with kids, The Mama Sagas celebrates what’s possible when we embrace every experience on our motherhood journey — good, bad, and everything in between.

A Reckoning Over Fear: A Mother and Columbine Survivor Finds Her Voice

Playing for Keeps
Motherhood is the fire and flood of my career. I had a degree in interior architecture, and was working at my dream job when I got pregnant. After having kids I always had little side businesses, though I was primarily a stay-at-home mom. But then my marriage began to...
The True Cost of Childcare: Celeste’s Story

Confessions of a Type-A Mom
I’m a strong woman, with strong opinions, and I do what I want, for myself. Though I’m not proud to admit it, I’m selfish. But WOW, how a baby changes that. I’m no longer able to put myself before others because Jameson is everything to me. And still, there are times...
Be Good and Do Good

The Biggest Surprise of Motherhood is How Much People Don’t Tell You About It
I wasn't so sure about motherhood, having never been a babysitter. I was in love with my husband and figured I would enjoy motherhood because I was lucky to have a great mom myself. But having never changed a diaper before, I was pretty terrified when my due date...
